Medici Telemedicine

We want to continue to care for you during the COVID-19 pandemic and beyond. To respect your safety and the safety of those around you, we are offering virtual appointments. Compassionate Care has chosen Medici to care for our patients from the comfort and safety of wherever they are.

  1. Download the Medici Patient app for iOS or Android: https://medici.cx/my-medici
  2. Complete your information to register in the app. 
  3. Once you are in the app, go to the section titled "Connect with your doctor" and select "Add an activation code." 
  4. To connect with Compassionate Care, you will enter the code CCVH

You are ready to go! You can message us in the app.

Please note:
1. There is a charge of $55 for telemedicine consultations, just as there is for in-house examinations and consultations. If you would like to utilize this option, the doctor will answer questions and/or assess the patient, make recommendations/prescribe medications, and then you will be charged at the end of the visit. Not all problems can be addressed virtually so if the doctor believes that an in-house visit is necessary, the amount of the telemedicine consultation ($55) will be applied towards the physical exam portion of the in-house visit (credit must be used for the same problem and within 2 weeks of online consultation).

Here are some examples of problems, but not limited to, that can be seen over telemedicine – Surgical rechecks, Skin rechecks, Lameness, Diarrhea and Vomiting, Medical Progress, Minor injuries: cuts, scrapes, bites, etc.

2. The doctors will be providing this service during our regular business hours. Outside of business hours, please check the app and see if the doctor is “online”. If the doctors are not online, they will respond once they become available.

3. This is NOT an emergency service. If you have an emergency, call the hospital phone line ((704) 486-2571). If your emergency is after hours, call Carolina Veterinary Specialists ((704) 815-3939).

4. Please use our website or call our office for all refill requests or regular questions so that we can address these in our normal manner. Please allow 24-48 hours for all refill requests.

5. Due to the NC Veterinary Practice Act set forth by the NC Veterinary Medical Board, this service is limited to current clients only.  In order to use this service, your pet must have been seen within the last 12 months (i.e. have a “valid veterinarian-client-patient relationship”).  Legally, we cannot make any allowances or exceptions.
